Honestly it depends on the opportunity, the competition, and the quality of your submission. The federal procurement process can take anywhere from 30 days to 12 months from solicitation to award. What we can control is the quality and competitiveness of your submission. We cannot guarantee an award but we can significantly improve your odds.

A capability statement is a one to two page document that summarizes your business for federal buyers. It covers what you do, what makes you different, your certifications, your past performance, and your contact information. It is the first document a contracting officer will look at and it needs to answer their questions before they ask them. Most small businesses have one that is either missing, outdated, or written like a resume instead of a pitch.

NAICS codes define the industries and service categories your business is registered to compete in. Selecting the right codes is critical because opportunities are filtered by NAICS code during procurement.
